  • The Good:

Head tube angle through me off at first, but now i cant even ride any other bike unless its got a similar stance in the front. The frame is well balanced and the welds are true craftsmanship. Hold the frame by its top tube or rear dropouts and give the thing a little flick with your finger and you can here the true construction ring through the entire body. Most frames cancel out the vibration as soon as it hits a weld, this one carry's through (to me this is a solid welded frame, the sound of a perfect build) Crashed the bike multiple times, used to ride a MirraCo Blink frame but cracked it after a few months of riding, this united has held up with non signs of wear though, huge abuse has gone through the bike. I liked the frame so much i bought a back up frame just in case, but i have yet to need it.

    The Bad:

not a good design for flatland. the stance of the frame throws out completely new balancing techniques. The mat finish is AWESOME but is easily visible when it is nicked or scratched.

    - No integrated chain tensioned
    - Matt finish takes a beating and is hard to patch
    - The double heat treated model is a little to tight in the BB, broke a set of bearings pressing them in, after contacting manufacturer i was informed i had to use special bearings to avoid aftermarket ones from "Squashing"

Overall Review: United has really pulled there stuff together here. Last years United catalog was impressive but this year has shown true signs of craftsmanship and technique. The dirt frame is a great build that is far capable outside of the mud, i have been a faithful MirraCo rider for a few years but could...
